i'd study Install instruction carefully while tragedy still happened...
lots of important experiment data on that disk...
i followed the guiding step by step. choose one slice to mount, and after
press "a", auto allocate patitions, it started to install... all seems ok,
however, after reboot, only one partition could be found, even under PQmagic.
sigh...what shall i do? i remember there is one backup partition table, can
i recover from it??
help help... i am so frustrated...

don't panic
have you tried 'fdisk' command in freebsd?
what do you get

y...only one ad0s1 slice, freebsd...
sigh, i knew it's almost hopeless...

from fdisk in my freebsd, the output is like
Information from DOS bootblock is:
The data for partition 1 is:
sysid 11,(DOS or Windows 95 with 32 bit FAT)
...
The data for partition 2 is:
sysid 15,(Extended DOS, LBA)
...
The data for partition 3 is:
sysid 165,(FreeBSD/NetBSD/386BSD)
...
so you can only see partition 1?

can't you ssh or telnet to it? :)

i choose "extrem sercurty" during the installing...:(
even i could log on the server, i could do nothing with it..
btw, i heard there r two MARs, can assemble instructions recovers the second
one?
btw, the ip is allocated by DHCP server, i mean private ip...
sigh... i am so bad luck...
