打算让我妈春节左右来美国
就是2014年2月-4月来两三个月左右
我跟lg是J1/2，我们的DS2019有效期到2014年1月7号。
到年底再续肯定是没问题的，不过如果我妈下个月去签证的话
给签证官看我们的DS2019，又说2月份来玩，岂不是到时候我们的身份都非法了
可是10月份就去续DS2019也太早了点
这个问题怎么破？还是没关系呢？

I believe U01 is harder, it requires multi-PI

你就把计划写成十一月过来就好了，反正签证生效时间是签证当天开始算的。

U01, Research Project, To support a discrete, specified, circumscribed
project to be performed by the named investigator(s) in an area representing
his specific interest and competencies.
R01, Modular Research Grant Application, The modular research grant
procedures will affect the NIH peer review process by enabling reviewers to
evaluate proposed project budgets on the basis of a general, expert estimate
