Joint appointment with two departments..(not by courtesy)
It means: I'll have two bosses, and my tenure package will be reviewed by
two departments.. I'll be the victim if the two departments do not get along
very well...
Almost no additional benefits.

Not good. Sometimes, it is hard to please people in both department. Also,
your service assignment might be doubled.

挺麻烦的。因为你开课的话，双方都想让你开自己系的课。而且要是系头之间有矛盾，
你就得受夹板气。

you should have one home department and your tenure should go through that d
epartment

而且有两个老板，很多事情是两边不讨好
哪有两个人想法一样啊，按照A来，B不高兴，按照B，A不高兴
在中间吧，A,B都不高兴，hehe
