老人家上次在美国延期了一次，呆了近一年。回去后呆了不到六个月又来，是因为有点
事，想来紧急处理下，所以也也只是希望海关放进来几天就好，结果也许是海关官员说
了几句中文感觉良好，又给了六个月，到二月底。这次我们也没想延期，带她出去旅游
了回来，准备二月份回去的。没想到海关官员又给了六个月。我们想了解下，如果这次
又要六个月快完了才回去，会有什么后果？比如下次在国内七八个月后再来，被海关官
员刁难的可能性很大？ 谢谢！！

I think it should be fine because it's the custom's decision to give another
6 months stay. So it's legal. Your parents probably need to stay out of US
for about 12 months before they come back to US again.
Btw, could you share how to get another 6 months by traveling to Mexico? Did
your parents take plane to Mexico or take cruise? Thanks!

我们坐飞机去的墨西哥，玩了几天。回来填了两张海关申报表，我们自己家人一张，老
人一张。海关官员态度不错，问到老人准备在美国停留多久时，回答三个星期，是原定
的离开美国的时间。
