My wife is from KM, and I have been there many times.
It is strange they chose such a place , the alertness
and equipment of Yunnan police are much better than
many of the inland provincial capitals, since they have
to deal with drug trafficking all the time,there are
police posts everywhere at night. I think
that is why 4 out 8 were killed by police on the
scene and one wounded.
It could be much worse if they chose other cities.
