impossible. There's definitely improvement from 128M to 256M
in WIn2K. when I had 128M, there was ~30M physical memory left
after WIn2k boot up, which means windows have to swap when
running many usual applications. When I upgraded to 256,
everything just smoother.

I agree, memory size is an important role to Win2k, but I think the most
crucial thing to Win 2k/NT is L2 cache, (full speed?
Size?), I installed Win2k on a machine with Pentium Pro 200 MHz,
overclocked to 233, 64M mem, it is even faster than a Celeron 666 MHz with
the same size of memory.

首先98经常crash，win2k基本上没事儿
在局域网上win2k作client简直就是PnP
而98则需要先设置，还经常莫名其妙的出问题联不上
安装网络打印机win2k也方便得多
64MB上，速度感觉和98差不多，我经常要用到110MB的RAM
绝不比98下慢，如果你没有大job要run的话问题不大
对了，如果你装了McAfee，千万要在Startup里disable掉
这个东东吃很多内存。不知道你的@guard吃多少（我没用过）
我一开机用掉48MB
最好还是加内存 :-)
