Eudora is the best I've ever used.
It has most features the above posts mentioned, like:
multi ID (you can have many email addresses and switch between),
clean (no registry),
multi-location (you and your spouse's email was stored in different folder
using command line parameter. Of course you don't need to start it from DOS
every time. The ONLY shared thing is the program itself.),
send again,
schedule
antivirus
and much more
I didn't explore its newsgroup function (or it doesn't have?). I use O
