为什么有的时候电好开机后internet连接不上，但local area connection明明是
connected,而且数据接收还在不断增加。拔掉modem的电源再接上，internet就好了，
搞得我一位windows出毛病了，重装了以后还不行。
win xp 不是自动检测网络的吗，怎么还会有这样的情况？
请高手指教！

Your Cable Modem remembers the MAC address of your previous
connected device. So that if you switch the computers, you will
have connection problem with the second one. What you need to do is
power cycle your modem.

好像是从我把电脑在学校和家之间搬来搬去之后才发生的。
什么是power cycle啊？改怎么做？

check the modem setup. it sounds like your PC can communicate with modem/
router, but can't go out unless you restart the modem. maybe do a reset.
