I guess this pretty much depends on the custom of different departments. Say,
in our company, my boss is the SVP and the two departments under her are
following the same email writing style which is used by my boss. No matter how
acquainted the person is, my boss always puts "Dear first name," or "Dear
All," addressing others. So there are lots of 'dear' going back and forth in
my emails...However, another department under a diff person just address me or
my boss with first name. Personally, I s
