they do support xml
but i doubt their motive

motive is that apps from different OS can talk to each other
with the help of XML (SOAP). you can choose any language you
prefer to develop on your favorite OS and you can be sure
that it will talk to others without problem.
And MS Windows will be the easiest and best one to program
on.
