光天化日之下，美国一流浪汉被处决式射杀

据《纽约邮报》报道，当地时间2月27日，在美国密苏里州圣路易斯市中心，一名男子光天化日下在街头“处决式”射杀了一名流浪汉。目前，该男子已经被捕，但尚未受到指控。

A St. Louis man was arrested Tuesday after a video appeared to catch him nonchalantly shooting a homeless man execution-style in broad daylight.

Deshawn Thomas, 23, was arrested in connection with the Monday murder but has yet to be charged, police said.

路人拍下的视频显示，一名身穿蓝黄色外套的男子站在另一男子身后，他费力地给枪上膛后，朝举手投降的流浪汉头部开枪。

Thomas can be seen struggling to load his gun as he stands right behind the homeless man, who is sitting on the kerb just a metre away, bystander video posted online shows. He then appeared to fire on the yet-to-be-identified victim, who raised his arms at one point, but made no attempt to run away and seemed almost resigned to his fate.

枪手犯罪后逃离，于当天在当地图书馆被捕。警方表示，嫌犯德肖恩·托马斯，今年23岁，将面临一级谋杀罪指控，受害者身份不明。

Thomas fled on foot, but police later captured him and recovered his gun as he tried to enter a library near the crime scene. He was booked into the county jail for first-degree murder.

警方说，托马斯在枪击事件发生前在加油站与受害者发生争执。目前尚不清楚争议缘由。

Cops say Thomas got into an argument with the victim at a gas station prior to the shooting. It was not clear what sparked the dispute.

据报道，该街区自2019年起已发生20起枪击案，居民对当地治安环境怨声载道。

2022年，美国枪支暴力肆虐，枪支暴力受害者数量屡创新高。美国网站“枪支暴力档案”统计数据显示，截至12月20日，美国今年已有近4.3万人死于枪支暴力，包括1600多名未成年人；造成至少4人死伤的枪击事件多达635起。
