Why do Tibetans think they are Chinese?

Their languages are close to each other in the Sino-Tibetan family.

 

This is the Guanyin， the most popular Bodhisattva among all Chinese people, at the top level of the Potala Palace， the religious and political center of Tibet. Guanyin is the host God of the Potala Palace, and Potala Palace is the temple of Guanyin.

This is the gold statue of Buddha in the Jokhang. The statue is the dowry of Princess Wencheng. Princess Wencheng was the daughter of Li Daozong, an imperial princess of the Tang Dynasty. She married the King of Tibet in the seventh century. Worshiping this Buddha in Jokhang is the most important and most blessed pilgrim of every Tibetan in their life. The majority of Buddhism is in China today.

This is Yonghe Temple， the Lama Temple of Tibetan Buddhism in Beijing, the capital of China, since 1694.
