Why do Tibetans think they are Chinese?
Their languages are close to each other in the Sino-Tibetan family.

This is the gold statue of Buddha in the Jokhang. The statue is the dowry of Princess Wencheng. Princess Wencheng was the daughter of Li Daozong, an imperial princess of the Tang Dynasty. She married the King of Tibet in the seventh century. Worshiping this Buddha in Jokhang is the most important and most blessed pilgrim of every Tibetan in their life. The majority of Buddhism is in China today.
