印人念咒

大家都知道，在美国学习和工作的印人很多，自然免不了和他们打交道。要是问：你会不会念咒，他们马上会表演几段。

近日学习竺法护翻译的《舍头谏太子二十八宿经》，里边有一段咒语：

“amale vimale ku?kume sumane/yena baddhāsi vidyut/icchayā devo var?ati vidyotati garjati/vismaya? mahārājasya samabhivardhayitu? devebhyo manu?yebhyo gandharvebhya? ?ikhigrahā devā vi?ikhigrahā devā ānandasyāgamanāya sa?gamanāya krama?āya grā?āya juhomi svāhā//”.

竺法护的译文为：

　阿遮梨　莫摩犁　維摩犁　句鳩摩　鳩摩門那非頭　閉頭摩遮彌　蹄和陂沙提　 祇牟多迦伽耶比舍波摩呼羅閉　抄慢頭陀提波菩若大神　天及揵陀羅　急志神明其最 暴卒唐突無理 　　各以威神化阿難。來令至此間。

前半部分将咒语的发音转写为汉语，后半翻译程当时的汉语。

这是一段比较长的咒、一段活灵活现的话，开始赞美神，后面说出心愿。来自《阿闼婆吠陀》某章节。

（“Pure and stainless saffron and jasmine! Where you are bound, there is lightning. The god sends forth rain, lightning and thunder as he wishes. To astonish the great king as well as gods, men and gandharvas—O gods of planets with fire and gods of planets without fire!—and so that ?nanda shall return, meet with, approach and embrace Prak?ti, I perform this ritual.”）
