Dragon’s Daughter - 3
I was born in New China. When I was born, Changsha suffered a once-in-a-century flood. I was delivered at home by my father and grandmother. Sister Tao and Brother Qiang were playing in the water outside. They heard the baby cry and ran upstairs excited to meet their sister. I was lucky. My father was a doctor, and my grandmother was born in a scholarly family and was proficient in Chinese medicine. I sculpted a cameo of myself as a newborn baby. My mother's hand gently supported me. Although I was born on the day of the terrible flood, the warmth of my family was welcoming me to this new world.
