“You have been a great teacher. I love to read. You have taught me to read many books in only one day. I love to write. You showed us how to write wonderous stories and nice memoirs. I enjoy learning from you!”
写给她最好的朋友有这么一句,“You are a nice person. You are nice every day and you don't even try to be。”
开头是,“Dear Kelly,I know how much you like me”看到这儿我呆住了,真是美国文化培养出来的小孩啊,无比的自信,毫不含蓄。我接着读下去“ but I can’t go out to the movies with you, and go to a party with you. I am sorry but there’s lots of stuff for me to do.”
“Dear Nicole, I am sorry you didn’t get to be Star Student.” 接着是回忆美好往事,“ You are always nice to me. You picked up my bracelet 3 times once, if you remember. ”最后是充满信心的展望未来,“You will probably be Star Student sometime soon.”
“Dear Andrew, I’m glad you’re Star Student. You’re good in every way. You have 64 crayons, and a big, big smile. I hope you have a great Valentine’s Day!”
“Dear Chase, You are always funny, and sometimes you are not. But when you are funny there’s laughter everywhere!”
“Dear Dan, I am proud to see your work finished! You have been working on your manners and trying to finish your work. I love to see your working face!”
