硅谷国际拉面节

拉面(ramen)是一种日本汤面,在面条中加入肉汤或者鱼汤,再以酱油或者味噌调味,并使用猪肉片、鱼糕,海苔、和葱之类的浇头。据说拉面是由中国传入,在日本各个地区演变而成的。九州(Kyushu)以猪骨高汤拉面(tonkotsu)而著名,而北海道(Hokkaido)则以味噌拉面而著名。

日本有着悠久的吃面历史,1958年,台湾出生的安藤百福(Momofuku Ando)发明了方便面,由他创办的日清食品(Nissin Foods)在全世界发扬光大,方便面被评为日本20世纪最伟大的发明。从20世纪80年代开始,拉面成了日本文化的象征,于是就有了世界各地的拉面横丁节(Ramen Yokocho Festival)。

儿子非常喜欢吃拉面,可惜他在戴维斯念书,们就只带着女儿一起凑热闹了。

圣何西会议中心(San Jose Convention Center)建于1989年,设有143000平方英尺的展览馆,在那里举行拉面节该多壮观啊。

去的时候刮起漫天大风,卷起了满地的秋叶,好大的声势。

去了之后才知道,拉面横丁节并不在正馆举行,而在南馆的入口处排起了长队。

买票进馆之后,在各个面摊之前需再排队。

大篷子里有个哆啦魔(Doraemon),可以坐在边上与其合影。

一堵墙上挂了许多日本画,花20元可以得到一幅打印件。每幅画像上包了一层塑料纸,照出来的像片有些光斑。这些大眼睛的漂亮姑娘,也算是日本漫画的一大特色吧。
