夏威夷大岛2021（5）Kona

在大島東部住了4晚後我們搬到西部的Kona。Checked into our new home of 3 nights https://evrhi.com/vrp/unit/Hoo_Maluhia. Stunning views out onto the Kailua bay. Beautifully decorated house with a great swimming pool. Fresh mangoes out front provided extra fruits for breakfast. We all enjoyed watching the resplendent sunset on the deck everyday.


















Kona這邊比較熱鬧，吃飯就更方便。這幾年風靡全國的poke也是我家飯桌上常見的懶人菜。來夏威夷當然要來嚐嚐正宗的poke。我們的晚餐就在這家人氣滾滾的Umekes fish market。


Kona is the sunny outdoor capital of the Big island. We spent most of the day @ Mauna Kea beach. Classically perfect white sand beach. Great snorkeling too. 友情小貼士：Parking is limited (40 spots only) so get there early.






另一天去了La’aloa bay beach park. Gorgeous sandy mellow crescent beach, great for swimming and boogie boarding.












最棒的活動就是晚上跟巨大的（超千磅）manta rays 浮潛，以前在Bora Bora 潛水時在海裡看過一次，就像一片烏雲從頭頂飄過，但這次才是超近距離親密接觸。真的就在你觸手可及的地方來回翻滾。有一隻特別淘氣喔，每次在我們面前翻肚皮都蹭到我的手，至少有7、8次吧，感覺又奇妙又（有點）驚悚，太難忘了。


對原住民文化總想多了解一點。最後一天我們去了Pu?uhonua o Honaunau National Historical Park. 這個國家歷史公園曾是夏威夷皇室和闢護所所在地。犯法的、戰敗受傷的，都可以逃到這裡受保護。這明明就是夏威夷的“和平飯店”呀！






庇護所的守護神便是這對夏威夷傳統信仰的神祇Ki’i。




Kona咖啡名揚四海。我們選了greenwell farms。參觀tour大概近一個小時，聽導遊娓娓道來咖啡的生長、Kona咖啡歷史，很有趣。Tour是免費的，但是我們當然都買了咖啡。不便宜就是了，最貴的一種要$60一磅！
