背景：麻绳，公立小学，后妈一个。
儿子10个月开始上daycare,一直到5岁上kindergarten,其间我也volunteer了数次，牵
着栓满toddler 的绳子去逛逛公园啦，坐着大bus去摘苹果啦，给pre-schooler讲讲
Chinese new year 啦。。。。自以为够involved了，等到孩子终于上了公校就可以轻
松一些。
谁料这个小学（学前班）虽然只有半天，要求家长volunteer的时候却是巧列名目，品
种繁多，变本加厉。几个月下来，我已经多次迫于压力地volunteer多次了，比儿子上
aycare的好几年加起来都多。
先说这个压力，我初次作小学生的妈，不知天高地厚，orientation的时候就把自己的
大名签在了一个又一个PTA committee德list上。虽然说我舍不得花那20刀的PTA会员
费，没正式混进组织，也挡不住人家PTA不嫌弃我穷，通过多方途径和我交流。于是我
每天打开邮件，至少有两封信是邀请我去Vulunteer的。上至给远在伊拉克保卫祖国/美
国的人民战士们写信， which obviously I think has not

最近拿了一个药厂的internal audit的offer,工资比现在的涨了,主要做
financial audit没有SOX.有40%的travel,主要是international.有回国出差的机会.两
年后rotate到其他部门.能办H-1B tranfer和GC.
我现在四大,第三年,有药厂client.四大的情况大家多知道,我们公司已经裁了两次了,
不知道最近还裁不裁.很多audit procedure简化了还outsourcing to india. busy
season 后还是有很多要被裁的.很多同事都自己走了.
想找个稳定,轻松点的工作.也不知道这个怎样?
想问一下internal audit 前景如何? 稳定吗? work hour 好吗?
有没有在药厂做会计的同行吗? 我听说好多药厂在裁人,主要是R&D的,但对accounting/
finance有影响吗?
从thanksgiving后开始找工作,现在也没其他的offer,猎头听说H1B就没多少戏了,除了
internal auditor和小一点的CPA firm,其他的corp fiance/accouting

工作很不好找的.即使有綠卡也是找的很慢.我也希望三年後可以
到那種一年回亞洲三四次的工作.

I have been in Big 4 for 3 years before I became an internal auditor. Have
to say, the job is easy, but eventually I cannot afford 50% travel after I
got married. I like to be home with whom I care.
I had travel around the world (both domestic and Asia Pacific region). At
first, it can be exciting as you can see world, stay in first-tier hotels,
earn milages...... but later on, I got tired of staying nights in Hotels.
Most internal auditors will like to transfer to other financial departments.

I am married not have kids yet. So the turnover of internal audit is high
since it requires lots of travel and people want to transfer to other
financal departement? Is that the reason why there are many internal auditor
jobs open even under the bad economy right now?
Is Pharma Industry really bad?
