Background:
1. I postponed the Tax return with form 4868 submitted and submitted tax
forms in Aug, 2009 for Tax year 2008 .
2. I used Turbo Tax to get the total $9,000+ (cannot remember right now)
which includes 7,500 (first-time home buyer credit).
Results:
I received the IRS only 1,600+ tax return today.
Questions:
1) Does the first-time home buyer credit come seperately?
2) Is this total tax return for 2008?

Update: Just called USCIS again and asked to be transferred to an IO and got
to talk to one after about 20 minutes' waiting. She said our cases have
been adjudicated and transferred to DOS which will approve cases within 30
days if there are visa #. I feel I've done whatever I can do now and have to wait to see what will happen.

They should come together. However, many first time home buyer credit cases are under audit now. Go to your local IRS office and ask the agents to double confirm it.
