Tax exempt Municipal Bond ETF (例如MUB) 是不是有这样的税收漏洞:
我在dividend date前一天买入,dividend date后一天卖出
dividend是免税的
卖出的时候,股价因为发dividend而减少导致short term capital loss
如果我的tax bucket是30%,那么我净赚dividend的30%

Our company is looking for an entry level revenue accountant contractor. It'
s a Fortune 500 company using Oracle and Siebel. So it's a very good
opportunity for you to learn revenue accounting and those two popular
accounting software. The position is for 6 months initially starting mid
September.
Requirements:
1. bachelor degree
2. detail oriented
3. Can take pressure as there is daily tasks have to be completed. Usually
no overtime necessary, but you will be compensated for overtime if necessary.
4. We can take new graduate but you should be eager to learn.
5. No visa sponsorship.
6. good communication skills

I think so,30% minus 2 times commission and plus state tax bracket! But buy/
sell price will be changing all
the time.You can use limit order, but may not be executed.

Dependent on how your broker calculate the cost basis. Yes, you can save up
to $3000 Capital loss times your tax bracket in that case every year if your
broker calculate your cost basis like that.

谢谢两位,但是实践证明这个方法不行。
tax-exempt etf都是monthly dividend,每次分红太少不值花这个功夫。

不行。我以前也想过这个问题,结果发现有一个法规掐死这个loop-hole
对于产生tax-exempt income的资产,capital loss不能被claim,除非你hold 6个月以
上。你可以google一下,municipal bond fund, capital loss, 6 months.

Thanks for sharing. I don't have any muni bond fund so good to know that.
For individual muni bond, fidelity does calculate your cost basis like that,
including all transaction fees for both buying and selling. You can claim
capital loss for the price difference and have tax exempt interest at the
same time. Turbotax will load these information automatically, and if you
pay attention to the detail, you can see the way fidelity calculate for
individual bond capital gain/loss is always fair or under some conditions,
better for the customers. I really doubt IRS will check such details.
