Eventually, USB will be the normal way to connect a Mac or PC to a
non-networked printer, and printer manufacturers will build USB ports right
into the printer. For the moment, though, the iMac is ahead of the curve -
only one printer with USB built in is available for the iMac - Epson's
Stylus Color 740 (about $280). You'll also need Apple's iMac Update 1.0
software update and appropriate driver software for the printer: Epson
inkjet drivers.
