About 10 months ago, IBM began to layout the foundation for a major
architectural revamp to the PowerPC line that will allow chips to run much
cooler for mobile and embedded applications, sources recently told
AppleInsider.
The first fruits of the endeavorer are rumored to include a 64-bit PowerPC 300
series built on a 65-nanometer (nm) process. The series will reportedly
tip-off with the PowerPC 350 due out in mid-2005, and
