我怎么搞不定？Windows 7是用bootcamp装的，然后装parallel desktop 5，装完以后
自动检测到"My Boot Camp"，但
是发现启动不了，停在"Please wait while the virtual machine is being
configured"，然后跳出一个对话框，说有些
configuration没有办法完成
怎么办呢？谢谢！

一般说来如果F-1还不满5年，OPT可以不付FICA，否则就要付。

看错了不好意思。平行我没用过，但肯定要开机前装驱动的。vmware 3针对snow
leopard发行的，我觉的可能会好点，
换吧。

是不是5年结束后不管是不是OPT,都要交social security tax和medical tax呢
那具体的5年是怎么算的呢,比如2006年8月来的,那是不是到2011年8月份截止算5年,还
是要到2010年12月31日结束了,就算5年截止了呢

在校内的和学业相关的工作，譬如TA/RA，即使在5年后仍然豁免FICA

那请问一下，如果一直是用OPT工作的话，是不是就不算resident aliens,
那即使来美国超过5年，也可以不用交social security tax和medical tax吧

满5年的F-1就成为resident alien，跟是不是OPT没关系。

不过有没有明确的文件规定满5年的F1就是resident alien呢
想去蒙一下HR：）似乎他们好象也不是很懂.....

有文件
但是你还是应该去蒙一下HR，很多HR搞不清这个。即使给拆穿了，你也可以装不懂。

当然有。
HR能蒙，IRS怎么蒙？你不可能一边享受着用resident报税的好处，一边用NR来豁免
FICA。

HR is not Payroll. individual tax return is personal responsibility.
Withholding is not your tax libility.
