In the morning of the 2nd day of my 1st on-site interview, the committee chair already told
me "I asked around and people liked your demeanor, and we would like to
invite you for a 2nd interview"...then he went on saying that they would
finish interviewing other candidates one per week, and he would keep in
touch with me about the date for 2nd interview...if I prefer, they could
even do 2nd interview over skype due to my physical condition....
I came back and wrote him a thank you letter, no reply....now several weeks
passed, no message.
what is the odds that I will really get invited for 2nd on-site interview?
Did he say that just to make me feel good? Or they got so excited because I
was the 1st one to give a talk?
