Last night the House voted 403-12 to extend the first time buyer tax credit
and expand it to buyers who have owned their homes for five years. President
Obama will sign the legislation today.
The bill will extend the $8,000 first time tax credit for income eligible
buyers who have a house under contract by April 30, 2010, and close by July
1, 2010. Move up buyers who have owned a home for at least five years are
eligible for a credit of $6,500. The new bill also increases the income
limits fo
