why not just use "Gongbi" and "Zhongcai"? Those are unique terms in Chinese painting, why bother try so hard to find English translations? Attach an glossary to give definitions for those "Pinyin" words.
I remeber saw sth like "ink and heavy color on silk...." in metro. gongbi someone used the phase "detailed brushwork"
