My boss's son in law graduated from law school not long ago and now serves
as a lawyer in NYC. He has been driving a C300 since before his graduation.

By the way, do you know what a mortgage is? Just FYI, that's for house
buying purpose only. To tell you the truth, a college student wouldn't even
have enough credit to get a "car loan", if that is what you meant. Seems you
've been in the States for not very long.

It really depends. Most wealthy families bank with local banks or do private
banking, those underwriters know them well and they make things happen for
their clients and their children, with private banking, the parents or
primary account owner sets limited credit out of their family credit for
their children to access to.
