search pubmed for publications about diabetes research, tons
of them have done assays for serum insulin and ketone (butyrl
ketone). sera should be isolated using specific insulin syringe,
Sarstedt microvette to avoid lysis. VWR should have them.
the processing should be as smooth as possible. store sera
@ 4C O/N, spin @ 3000rpm 20min RT, transfer supernate. if red,
then byebye. the sample should be almost clear, a little yellow
or pink is fine. Crystal chem has ELISA kit.
