本人现在办j1豁免，然后发现最近一次i94出入境信息，只有出境信息没有入境信息（2
月中开车去了加拿大玩了三天），我问了CBP,他们的系统上显示的都是对的，我打了一
份他们给的出入境信息给大使馆，然后以为没事了。
然后大使馆说你i94上显示的最近入境是1月6号，你出入境信息里二月出入境过，为什
么你的i94没renew, 我说去了是加拿大，不用renew i94. 但他们只认i94的信息，怎么
办？

我H1B09年1月layoff的，转了F1读phd.现在找到一个很理想的工作希望能尽快开始上班。
请问可以算是H1B transfer吗？
如果算是，公司立即帮我申请H1B transfer，是不是就可以开始工作了？

这个电影里面还有一个奇怪的地方是那个钻石到底是怎么回事？
一开始黄给了张麻子，然后张落下来给了“师爷”，　然后师爷给了花姐，花姐又给了
黄，
然后怎么张麻子又给了师爷的“老婆”然后又被假麻子抢了然后又回到张麻子手里？
这个是怎么回事？

这个学校蛮怪的。看publication非常好，而且basic science很多牛老板，HHMI数量还
有发的NCS不比一些什么牛校差。而且还有RNAi的诺贝尔奖。但是排名很低，而且看网
页也是乱糟糟的感觉。
请问版上各位前辈有没有在这个学校或者了解这个学校的，麻烦给点指点。谢谢。

我的理解是一开始黄给了张麻子，然后张落下来给了“师爷”，张又从“师爷”那里拿
回来了。黄想“杀鸡取卵”未遂。后来张给了师爷的“老婆”，说要回山西赎小儿子。
然后师爷的“老婆”又被假麻子抢了最后又回到张麻子手里。

师爷给了花姐这个是暗线，电影里面没有明讲。
但是黄四去搜花姐的房子的时候花姐把一个大盒子献给了黄，黄打开一看就很高兴的走
了。
然后后来师爷和黄“聊天”的时候，师爷“检讨”说“我不该把你的钻石给别人”。说明
他把钻石给别人了，最后他死的时候，对麻子说：你还记得那谁么。。。然后露出一副
销魂的样子，可惜还没有说完就死了

Ai, 我们学校确实很不错，别的不说，做RNA的就是一流。可惜麻省havard MIT 在那一
放，我们这个麻省唯一的公立学校就没地位啦。

师爷和花姐应该不熟吧。照师爷这么精明的人，不太可能为了妓女花姐花那么大的价钱。
“花姐把一个大盒子献给了黄，黄打开一看就很高兴的走了。” 这个确实是个谜，猜
不出来是什么。

这个学校在生物方向的科研水准很高的。
据说很多被哈佛踢出来的小老板最后都落到了那里去.

里面是钻石啊。那个盒子就是装钻石的盒子。
花姐是卧底，师爷也叛变了，和花姐一伙的。这也是为什么老二会被抓住。师爷的第二
个秘密就是花姐是卧底。
花姐是卧底的线索很多的。比如最开始不怕枪声，后来打枪枪法很准，还有有枪还看不

basic science排名非常烂，比MD program还烂。
大概年头短，毕业生少吧。
不过还是很能灌CNS的，最近几年每年都灌几十篇。

the US news ranking is kind of craps if not craps...as far as I think, Umass
medical school's basic research is very strong...

a good institute is not all about one subject of research -
unless it is called U of RNAi, its ranking would have to remain low -
however, it is really outstanding in RNAi research, and it is aggregating
lots of talented brains -
by any chance if you guys can work with victor ambros, do not miss it. I
have to move to west coast, so I cannot work with him; he is such a nice
person, great scientist.
there is another big jerk at u mass, (an arrogant, narrow-minded asshole) be
careful -

I contacted Victor Ambros, but he didn't have position open now. His lab is
not that big, only 4 research ppl. I may not be NIU enough to work for him. He replied me very politely.

how was his pretty postdoc, I was in the person's job talk...purely a doll
and project manager, I am not sure the person really knows about the
projects were being discussed...and there was not a theme either, seems
hands everywhere, everything sexy but nothing completed...not even really
connected well...great speaker/presenter though:))

Yeah，I think a pretty doll like her is much easier to get a PI position tha
n WSN here, even if WSN may have much better publication record.

这个学校有这么好吗？规模不大还能每年灌几十篇CNS？
另外，Ambros的话，我感觉现在做的东西是不是很古老了，而且好像最近也不怎么发很
好的文章了。为啥进他实验室还这么难啊？

Do you happen to know Gary Stein? Seems also to run the lab with his wife.
Many of the postdocs in his lab seemed to find good positions afterwards.
