实验室一千老最近拿到K99。但是，他在之前已经发现他的K99 grant proposal里有几
个重要结果自己及实验室另一千老都无法重复。其结果是整个K99 grant proposal的
foundation都不成立了。他也不可能按proposed aims做了。（注：目前没有证据表明
该千老伪造了实验数据。）
这种状况如何处理？NIH有相关规定吗？

Figure out what's wrong. If you can not figure out what's going on, it
really doesn't matter. I also don't think the NIH will care what you
publish later on and what's the results as long as you have publication and
prove that you spend the money wisely.
With K99/K00 money, he/she should be able to get few paper out regardless
the initial hypothesis and final results. Worse case scenario, you prove
the hypothesis wrong but publish something.

麻烦是以后做什么，拿什么去找工作

但有的结果已经发表了。如果以后再发一篇文章否定自己先前的结果是不是很伤人品？
还是现在就Retract?
