前几个月在一个seminar上认识了一个外系的graduate student，她的research和我有
一点相关，她说她们系没有我这个方向的老师，有些问题要向我请教，于是我就跟她见
了一面回答了一些问题。现在她又给我发email，说上次按我的建议做出结果了，要在
qualify exam上present，问能不能再见一次，确保她理解这些结果。我想请教一下板
上各位，对于外系学生类似的要求应该怎么处理？我很乐意回答她的那些问题，
meeting也花不了多少时间，但有点担心我参与她的project是不是有点多？她完全没有
提要我做她的committee member，也没有提到paper的authorship，这种情况下我需要
主动提出这些问题吗？本人新AP一枚。

想我去美国面试，面试一个破死刀还要这么折腾？

Cong~! I think oliver is a great scientist in the neuron-c.elegans fields,
and it's amazing that you got interview after a phd in China.You must have
fairly good background.
It's normal to let the candidate have on-campus interview, the question is
whether he will pay for your travel expense~
he is going to give lecture on one of my course tomorrow, maybe I can tell
you more about him tomorrow..

thanks a lot for your information, bro!
he already asked for the references and he wonder whether i planned to go to
US for postdoc interviews this year. there are two problems:
1. travel expenses
2. visa issue
unfortunately,i wouldn't attend the worm meeting this year, so it would be
excellent if by any chance he could chat with me over Skype.
anyhow, thanks a lot and expect to hear from your feedback soon

恩，线虫大会实际是个好机会呢～～不过签证总是很讨厌。
小提醒：有的老板会要求视频，我想倒不是看你长得帅不帅，很多是为了防止你语音面
试的时候念事先准备好的稿子。。。所以如果要视频的话提前做好准备。

thanks, are you in the same division? actually i am also interested in
zuker, but he never replied to my email, it seems mission impossible to
enter such a super-shot's lab
