I am trying to clone a promoter sequence to a Vector. Now I have a question
on designing primers. I want to add a restriction enzyme at the end of each
primer, and I also heard that it is better to add a few bp around the
restriction enzyme for it to be cleaved. Does anyone know where I can find
such information on which nucleotide to be added to different restriction
enzyme?
(I read New England catalog book and did not find such information.)

The old catalog has the information, but it is removed somehow.
Usually, just add GGTGGT to the 5' of the restriction site.
