If the paper represents the average level of Cancer Res, don't bother Sci
Signal. Although the IF of the latter is less than 8, most of the papers
published there were initially experienced with peer-review in top journals
such as CNS, and they are really good papers.
If you story looks like the typical paper in Sci Signal, don't bother
trying the journal either. You can try others like Mol Cell, Cell Reports,
etc.
