不会吧？我们家孩子从来没满头大汗的回家过呀，我得问问他们。
我觉得不太可能啊，这么热得天没有空调，孩子不都中暑了呀，我们交的地税一半以上
都进了校区，怎么可能不装空调，是不是有的地方收不到什么地税，校区没钱就把空调
停掉了呀？

自求多福啦

leave school and ride home on buses with no air conditioning or fans. Some
parents say it's making their children sick.
One father did not want to be identified, but he said he believes his 5-year
-old son takes a dangerous hour-long ride home every day on the New Caney
Independent School District buses.
"It's way too hot, plain and simple," he said. "The first day he rode home
on the bus, he came home completely soaking wet and not responsive."
He said his son wouldn't eat and just wanted to lay down all evening.
The father said he has seen dozens of other students who ride his son's bus
in the same condition.
"Ninety percent are asleep when I get up to the bus to get him off the bus,"
he said. "They have to go back and just shake them because they're out and
completely in a pool of sweat."
A district bus driver, who wished to be anonymous, said it is heartbreaking
to watch the children get on the bus with energy and leave drained from the
heat. She said the majority of New Caney buses are not equipped with air
conditioning, but there are a few exceptions that don't sit well with the 5-
year-old's father. The bus driver said only special needs buses contain air
conditioning.
Kelly Mattlage with New Caney ISD said all 69 of the regular school buses do
not have air conditioning or fans. She said the district can't afford it.
When it came down to laying off school staff or spending $750,000 to add air
to buses, she said the district decided to keep staff.
However, Mattlage said hot buses are a concern, just not one they can fix
right now. The father of the 5-year-old said the district's explanation is
not enough. He wants air conditioning or at least fans on the buses this
year.
