Is it different from CNVs(copy number variants),
or just synonymous?
these two terms confused me.
anyone can guide me though a little bit?

Generally I think they are the same.
CNVs can refer to any copy number change, either benign/natural or
pathogenic.
While "somatic copy number aberrations", with "somatic", is obviously used
in cancer research.
Of course, I don't know if "aberration" indicates pathogenic, because the
word "aberration" literally means anything that deviates from the normal
state.
