My parents are coming visting us soon, and I want to mail them a prepaid
phone or prepaid sim card. Prefer to mail them a sim card because they have
cell phone that they can use here ... But not sure how it works -- anyone
know where to buy it and usuaully how it works?

请教在作细菌体外药物敏感试验MIC(minimal inhibitory concentration)时,根据CLSI
(clinical laboratory standard institute); "Read the MIC as the lowest
concentration of antimicrobial agent that completely inhibits growth of the
organism in the tubes or microdilution wells as detected by the unaided eye"
, 如果用microplate reader, 应该是多大的抑制率为MIC呢(compare to un-treatment
control)? 请版上有这方面经验的高人指教一二?多谢!

直接去at&t买一个 pre paid phone好了，也就20块，然后可以买25块的电话卡，3个月
过期。

买100块钱话费有效期一年一分钟一毛钱

T-mobile的最好。在国内时，准备一个至少有三个频率的手机，
美国频率：1900，850
中国频率：1800, 900
只要有三频，就两边都cover了。
第一次买了100刀话费后，以后每年只需要买10刀，就可以一直有效，话费可以一直累
计在那里。下飞机入关后（移民局入关区域禁止使用手机），打开手机就可以用了。
父母在美国时，也可以一直用这个手机备用。
