My answer is : No
when you apply to some b school, you are competing with other Chinese guys
720 is nothing.
You are not competing with those American guys.
I am not saying you are disadvantaged by that score, but you don't benifit from
720.
One of my friends, an MBA from Iowa, told me that the average GMAT score of
Chinese applicants to Toppie is 680.(She scored 770)
Toppie only ranks at 31-35 according to usnews.
I scored 750 2 weeks ago.

yes, 720 is not a high score for Chinese students.
In my opinion, a high score, say 770, will not put you in an advantage
position for top 20 schools, because they care other factors more. But it will
defenitaly give you a advantage in school after 20, even some of them will
give you scholarship.

商学院哪里有那么难申请？好多网站里都能查到学校录取新生的平均GMAT分数和最高分。
前五名的学校720也够了，从6到20，720也算高分了。干嘛总跟中国学生比？从中国
直接申请美国商学院的学生，可能在其他方面与美国学生有很大差距，所以才想
用高分补充一下（作用大不大？也难说）
所以答案是：720绰绰有余了，但是分数的作用并不比作文，经验，面试大多少。
在其他方面多用功吧。
这是假设你已经在美国，受过美国教育，并有这里的工作经验……

知道一个690的中国学生申请了从6到16十各学校，结果十个学校都录取她了。好学校是不
太重视分数，不过也别太低了， 650总要有吧。

I'd have to agree with this post. I think Chinese students are often trying
to compensate their lack of experience / background by trying to get a higher
GMAT score... it works in some situations, I mean it's great if you can get a
high score, and it MIGHT mitigate some of your other shortcomings, but many
are sensing that more and more the top schools are looking to admit students
based on their experience, and the schools are gradually putting more emphasis
on the comprehensiveness of the stu
