Finance is a game. Business is a game. Not everyone who has chance to study
finance is really good at making money. Also, research is so relevant to
consulting even there are some differences.

Yeah, I have a hedge fund too, :)
the beauty of a hedge fund is that it is unregulated, unlike mutual funds.
so anyone of us can have. Whether you can have investors is a different
story, :)

大家讨论得好热闹. 我们这些读finance的人的感觉就是research
很难做了，没什么open的题目。所以要做faculty 不容易，混碗饭吃而已。Faculty
position pays quite well, but you do not have much life. Sometimes it sucks to
shut yourself in the office most of the time, let alone the pressuer on
yourself.
As to consulting, for Chinese faculty, it is hard to do that in US. So we all
have the kind of dream of making big bucks back in China. However, the reality
is that we don't know much about US markets, let alone Chinese markets.
So we are planning to fol
