Success in one’s career is largely determined by the motivation,

Hard work will prepare you for the opportunities that may come along. Have

I had same issues before. It is very difficult to really test mutex.
valgrind may help. My solution was to mock mutexes, and hand craft 'senarios
' for testing. Then have a very long test with random executions.

Completely agree!!
Some on this board always complain that they are just not lucky enough to
get the jobs.
You just need to get prepared when opportunities come.
I passed CPA one year before my graduation, that put my resume on top of
everyone else.
When I interviewed with big 4 on campus, the partners just said WOW! Then we
just talked about very casual stuffs after my self introduction. No any
other tough interview questions.

It is an generic talk about the issue, and everyone knows if you are well-
prepared, you are more likely to win. But how can you prepare yourself in
such a short notice for perfect? Especially when you are applying for
different kinds of jobs? More likely, it's not because you are good and well

competitors are not as good as you. I believe that the reason why you have

I am baffled by your comments. Not sure what is your point...for the first
job I got, it was exactly what I studied for. I got the offers because I
was the best candidate they could find for those jobs. Where did you get
the idea that I was interviewed by HR? In my opinion, HR never has the
final say in which candidates to hire. They sometimes do the first round
weed out to make sure the real hiring managers are not wasting their time.
If HR interviews are later in the game, those are usua

Yeah, that's what I did. I used my "industry" experience to differentiate
myself from other candidates. However, it is getting increasingly difficult
as very often I found myself competing with others with 25+ years of
experience in a field heavily dominated by Americans. In contrast, I have a
total of 9 years working experience...and that's ALL my working experience
