Principles and Practice of Heterogeneous Catalysis by J. M. Thomas and W. J.
Thomas
This book is too general but good enough for someone new to the field.
If you're into surface chemistry, you definitely wanna try
Introduction to Surface Chemistry and Catalysis by Gabor A. Somorjai
Surf chem bible...
As of catalyst characterization, I used a very old school textbook. Feel
very good about it. couldn't remember the name though. I'll let you know
when I do.
