Responsibilities:
• Reviews daily production and quality data and acts to resolve
any issues or
bottlenecks
• Responsible for implementing manufacturing processes,
troubleshooting existing
processes or equipment issues, and data collection and analysis
• Drives productivity projects and responsible for scoping,
implementing, and
measuring cost out opportunities
• Participates in training program for hourly personnel and
develops and maintains documentation associated with functional area.
• Manages equipment and product trials, interprets results, and
makes
recommendations on path forward
• Maintains knowledge of new processes, process equipment,
process control
equipment, inspection and test methods, and the associated costs of these
new
techniques
• Assists key personnel in outage planning and operational
scheduling.
• Implements process engineering and maintenance improvement
programs required
to meet title V / OSHA/JM safety requirements.
• Leads oven cleanout process
Qualifcations:
• BS Engineering Degree, preferably in Chemical, Mechanical, or
Ceramic
Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of process engineering experience
• Minimum of 2 years in continuous manufacturing operation
• Demonstrated ability to lead cost savings projects
• Experience with executing process optimization initiatives
ranging from classical process engineering to advanced process controls
• Demonstrated collaboration skills including the ability to
interact with a broad range of employees
• Strong statistical process control understanding and proven
ability to apply concepts to manufacturing line
• Intermediate to advanced computer proficiency in Microsoft
Office and MiniTab statistical analysis tools
• Excellent communications skills both verbal and written
• Ability to train and develop employees and transfer technical
knowledge to both hourly and salary personnel preferred
