Job Opening: Corp Accountant
The US real estate investment team of a large Chinese assets management
company is looking for candidates for corporate accountant. The job location
is in New York City, Midtown. The company currently has investment about $
700M equity in the US real estate market (office building, multi-family,
hotel and etc.) and the plan for 2017 is to invest another $300M - $450M
equity. As of March 2017, the F&A team is overseeing 19 US blockers and 1
management company.
The main duties of corp accountant include:
• Bookkeeping (QuickBooks) of the management company: operating
expenses, recurring FA depreciation, entering bill and printout checks on
regular basis; generate monthly balance sheet and P&L
• Perform internal control of the US management company office
operation under instruction
• Help the financial controller initially reviewing the property
company and US blockers’ financial statements prepared by outsourced
accounting firm
• Work with assets management team and acquisition team under
financial controller’s instruction to organize the key property information
user friendly for accounting purpose
• Assist financial controller for tax filing and tax research
• Work with Asian office under financial controller’s instruction for
misc. tasks
• Minor translation from English to Chinese and vice versa
Qualification & Expectation:
• Accounting degree and eligibility to sit for the CPA exams are a
must; CPA is a significant plus
• Auditing experience (big 4 or a large firm) is a plus
• Tax preparation or book keeping experience preferred
• Great team player is a must
• Bi-lingual in Chinese and English is a must
• Occasional travel to Asia or within US
• Green card or citizen preferred; H-1B sponsorship for outstanding
candidate only
