我已经买了下个星期回国的机票也预约了签证，这有可能被拒签吗？

今天收到卡了，却同时收到公司里的移民律师的这么一封信:
I have been informed that an immigration officer will be contacting you to
conduct an onsite visit next week. You should not be concerned XXX has
been receiving quite a few of these onsite visits at all of our locations.
The officer will probably call you from the lobby. You should bring him/her
upstairs to a conference room. The officer might want to see your work
space. He will just ask you about the last petition filed, confirming your
job title, description and salary.
The officer might also want to speak to your mgr.
Please email me and let me know when the officer has conducted the visit.
真是丈二和尚摸不着头脑。也不知道这件事和绿卡有没有什么关系。前面几个月刚刚申
请延了H1B.
难道他们又不想给我绿卡了？ 那发RFE就行了，犯不着还要跑到公司里来找我啊？有哪

星期五，公司通知：星期一公布我们研发的新药临床试验结果。消息发布会在股市开盘
时同步召开，邀请大家届时到公司观看发布会实况。
我工作的这家公司是从事新药研发的上市公司。这种公司没有产品销售，资金来源完全
依靠股票投资人。临床试验的结果将直接影响公司的股票价值。如果这次临床结果好，
股价可以涨几十加币，甚至上百加币。我们雇员每人起码有几万股股票期权，可以轻松
增值几十万甚至上百万。如果结果不好，股价会直线下降，那就不是靠股票期权发财的
问题，可能工作都保不住。
公司是“上天”还是“入地”，星期一就揭晓!
据说，发布消息有个小规律。坏消息在星期五发布，黑色星期五嘛。投资人要回家度周
末，顶多只有一天时间抛股票，星期一回来时坏消息已经忘记的差不多了。好消息则是
星期一发布，让投资人头脑发烧连续几天买进股票。这次是星期一公布结果，好迹象！
还有一些好兆头：公司设立奖金让大家为新药起商品名，很多投资人抢在消息公布以前

味着不可能再发股集资，公司只能靠现金过日子。坐吃山空是没有办法支撑新药研发这
种烧钱游戏。谁都知道，公司现在是一艘触礁的巨轮，开始下沉了。
陆续有同事在其他公司找到工作，同事们照例在饭店聚餐送行。很快，周围的饭店都吃
遍了。不过，大多数人还是舍不得离开，不单是因为公司工资福利比其他公司好很多，
更是因为手里有大量的公司股票期权，公司一旦咸鱼翻身，那可是改天换地呀。公司也

大信封回到自己办公桌的时候，电脑已经锁住，有人“旁观”你拿自己私人物品，立刻
走人。外面有出租车等候，如果你情绪激动到手脚发软语无伦次，可以免费乘出租车回
家。这次不一样，提前通知，给大家时间做心理准备。
星期四，每个员工拿到一张谈话时间表。全体员工被分成几个组，每组从早上开始排队
和指定的领导谈话。这个时间表被我们反反复复地研究，都想从中琢磨出一点蛛丝马迹

理所当然地属于这个公司。平时觉得本事大的不得了，好像离开你公司就要倒闭一样。
现在发现你只不过是个拿钱干活的雇员，叫你走，你就得走，走了，就和这个公司一点
关系也没有。
看到一些被解雇同事的困境，更让人心凉。因为整个新药研发行业不景气，不断有公司
裁员，所以出去了就很难回来。用完遣散费，拿失业保险，失业保险拿完以后你就和这
个社会没有关系，连失业率都算不进去。原来以为街头流浪汉和我们是两个世界的人，
现在发现其实也就一个区别：有工作还是没工作。有工作，是个人物，没工作，什么都
不是，就这么简单。
都说出国是追梦，实际上我们只是寻找了一份工作而已。有工作是美梦，没工作是噩梦
。通过这次裁员，发现真正的梦应该是把命运握在自己手里。于是，我们几个专业人士
开始创业，从打工赚钱养家煳口向创立自己的事业努力，再次踏上追梦之路。

Don't worry at all. I ran into the same situation just couple weeks ago.
This is an enhanced investigation program that was launched by USCIS in
October 2010. The objective is to check if there is any fraud H1B
applications. You and I just got so lucky to be randomly selected. I guess
it might have something to do with the fact that we just renewed our H1B
visa beginning of the year, therefore our names were bumped to the top.
Your company attorney is quite professional to provide you with the heads up
. For my situation, the USCIS officer just showed up at the lobby of my
company completely out of the blue, and I happened to be out of town on
business trip that week, so the receptionist wouldn't even let her in or
contact my manager due to the company policy :-P Later on she paid another
visit the following week and interviewed me for just about 10 minutes. All
the questions your attorney listed below were asked, she also asked who paid
for the application fee and then took a copy of the pay stub back.
Bottom line, you should not be concerned and worried at all. Good Luck and
