National Academy of Engineering Elects 66 Members and 10 Foreign Associates
WASHINGTON — The National Academy of Engineering (NAE) has elected 66 new m
embers and 10 foreign associates, announced NAE President Charles M. Vest to
day. This brings the total U.S. membership to 2,254 and the number of forei
gn associates to 206.
Election to the National Academy of Engineering is among the highest profess
ional distinctions accorded to an engineer. Academy membership honors those
who have made outstanding contributions to "engineering research, practice,
or education, including, where appropriate, significant contributions to th
e engineering literature," and to the "pioneering of new and developing fiel
ds of technology, making major advancements in traditional fields of enginee
ring, or developing/implementing innovative approaches to engineering educat
ion."

王赞侧身躲开一道墨绿色的绞索,长剑反手向对手左胁撩去。那脸色惨绿的对手身周浮
出几丝黑气,阴阳剑被其缠绕,嗤嗤有声,仿佛刺入一堆棉花,无从使力,却又滞涩无
比。
对手一声冷笑,手中又发出一道绞索,突见王赞左手一挥,一条纯黑的绫带象乌云般压
来,那绞索没入其中,顿时化作星星点点的光粉,随风四散。与此同时,阴阳剑剑身变
成诡异的暗红色,将周围的黑色如长鲸吸水般吸了进去。
自穿越归来,王赞到了萧贲门下,经他悉心指点,将化血神刀融入阴阳剑,一正一邪相
辅相成,实力较之从前有了质的飞跃。
这次阐教的反击,已经进行了一天一夜。交战初期十分顺利,他们这批生力军与据点里
坚守的弟子里应外合,摧枯拉朽般的冲垮了截教防线。但是在接下来的追击中,却遇到
了不小的麻烦,几个不知从哪里冒出来的截教门人伏击了他。幸亏他对潜伏的危险有着
敏锐的直觉,敌人还未动手,就让他先发制人的干掉一个。这批敌人修为都不算高,很
快便被他杀散。
王赞意识到刚才遇袭绝非偶然,而是敌人蓄谋已久的圏套,自己虽然有惊无险的逃过了
,可那些分散的同伴多半会被逐个击破。当下他向总坛发出了增援请求,然后提剑四处
寻找失散的战友。
过不多时,在群山中遇上了刚料理完几个敌人的朱岸卓。他二人算是这次行动中最强的
二人组合,虽然平时相互看不顺眼,此刻大敌当前,精神均是一振。
二人商量片刻,决定一起去解救被困的同门,不久便救下了被七八个敌人围困的李雷。
但他们抢眼的表现似乎引起了敌方高手的注意,很快,就与眼前敌人遭遇,双方二话不
说便大打出手。这批敌人是截教二十八星曜的北方七宿中的五个,皆是高手,王赞虽然
近实力大增,却也颇为吃力。
令他大跌眼镜的是,朱岸卓近来的进展也极其惊人,按说穿越经历给自己赢得了额外一
年的时间,可是与朱岸卓在修为上的差距,似乎丝毫没有缩小。难道这厮真的如此妖孽
,练功几个月就抵得上自己一年多?
自从上回截教偷袭阆苑境后,朱岸卓意识到自己在临场发挥上的与飞王赞的差距,但他
知道,这种东西勉强不来,是需要天份的,否则就得在战场上逐步积累。既然如此,他
索性扬长避短,继续努力提高修为,过去无数战例也都证明,只要在实力上有压倒性的
优势,一切花招都是自取其辱。
事实证明,他这个思路是正确的,由于实力摆在那里,经过几次实战经验,他的无尘剑
如九天神龙,矫矢变幻,越发得心应手。眼下在阐教新一代弟子中,殷飞善于推演,料
敌机先,将对手一步步引入圈套,王赞胜在勇于拼命,把握稍纵即逝的胜机,而朱岸卓
则靠高人一等的实力压倒对手。
双方斗得正烈,王赞身上手机响了。掏出一看,是殷飞从美国打来的。他刚按下接话鍵
,突然觉得左肩一痛,已被敌人利刃划伤,定睛看时,面前站着一和身穿漆黑贴身长袍
之人,一张清秀绝伦的瓜子脸,长发斜搭下来遮住了左眼,右眼曈孔作血红之色,修长
白晳的手指留着长达寸许的指甲,正往下滴着血珠。他伸出猩红的舌头,舔了下指尖,
血瞳对着王赞,嘴角微微上扬,露出一丝冷笑。
王赞怒道:“你个变态死人妖,爷要剁了你!”
殷飞在电话那边听得莫名其妙,但他岂是挨骂不还口之人,立刻回敬道:“去你的,你
Y才是人妖!”
“哥又没说你!”王赞没好气的道,“再说你也是,好死不死的这会儿打电话,不知道
哥正忙着么?”
“哥就想看看你挂掉没,要不要替你报仇。”
“切,能让我挂掉的人还没出生哪。。。你等等,”王赞侧身挡开斜砍来的弧形弯刀,
对朱岸卓道,“喂,小猪哥,这几个就交给你了,我要打个电话。”说着径自找个大石
头坐下。
