Hi there,
I have question about acupuncturist?
I have medical degree from China. It is too much work to become a doctor
here, so I am thinking about getting an acupuncture degreee.
Anyone knows about the career outlook for it? I am interested in what is the
average income? What is the hard part of working in this field? I live in
CA now.

I met a lady who is white American. She is a licensed acupuncturist and now
works with a doctor for physical therapy. She only works part time because
of the doctor office schedule. Beside she doesn’t have a lot of clients.
In terms of getting license, you have to get a degree which takes about 3 or
4 years.
Based on my research, Traditional Chinese Medicine is growing in US, and it
is still in its early stage of being known by public. Acupuncture is used
more in Europe as a pain management

it really depend on how you thinking of TCM acupuncture.
CA have many acupunturist, you may call around to get some more ideas.

Too many acupuncturists in CA.
I have some friends were doctors from China and they are acupuncturists in
the state. I think they all doing well. The good ones income can be from
200k/y to 300k/y.
