I grew up in an opera company in the prime time when China was developing its
western opera as a new trend. The opera company resided in a chinese army
academy, which was a weird location. In the back of that army academy, there
were basically two 60s style buildings seperated by a garden. One building was
residential apartment for the musicians and officials in the opera company and
the other was for researsal. It had practice rooms and also dorms for the
young musicians who just graduated from
