节奏的变化 makes dance so breathtaking/thrilling. I don't mean the change of
music tempo, but the change of rythm of footsteps.
For example, in big competitions, sometimes you (an amateur) cannot, at your
first sight, tell if dancers are doing chacha without music, as they are
not always dance conventional 23chacha1. They insert a lot of 3-beat steps
to break the conventional steps, or hold for half a beat, or jumpstart a
fast turn, or suddenly hold for 4 beats ...
