I am pondering too...are u sure she is gonna teach group lessons? And on
what dates? I think i will register for maybe one day or two, if I go. So
have to study their schedule in details and pick the dates. You have any
idea?

Just checked. one day pass is $105 for students and $115 for general. That
includes wholeday workshops. There is a detailed schedule on the website.
Karyna has 4 workshops on Day One - I interpret workshops as group classes.
So $115 isn't bad for 4 Karyna workshops! Also at the end of Day One there
is a Ball, which does not appear to be recurring for the rest of the camp
days. Not sure if the price includes the ball ticket. She has workshops on
other days as well, but not as frequently.

I went to the dance camp for the whole event last year. it was quite good.
this year, i'm not sure, partly as i'm not sure about my schedule in the
summer, partly i was wondering if it's gonna worth the time and money. the
workshop itself is reasonably priced, but then i need to travel to DC, get
housing, etc. BTW, you need to get ticket for the ball, at least last year
it was not included in the daily pass. $10 or $15, not bad. i've been
taken quite amount of privates in the past year, so i
this year, i'm not sure, partly as i'm not sure about my schedule in the

Hah you've been there before. How did you like it? you must have been very
energetic to go through the whole camp! I think two days is the max I can
handle. For example, day one has 8 sessions; i might take 7 and a lunch
break; that's almost 6 hours dancing; in the evening there's the ball for
another 2 hours...
A few questions:
So can you freely pick any class you want to take? any restrictions (say,
can only stick to one teacher)?
About the $140 video fee. Does it mean if you take a camcorder,

He is based in brooklyn NYC - easier to access. Plus, who wants to go see
that 'old' face if Karyna is also teaching? Kidding...he is a really good
teacher...according to cfish, people pay him to get his harsh criticism...i
don't need that at this moment...I just wanna see Karyna in zero distance!

Yeah. Last year, they had two sessions (one standard, one latin) running at
the same time, you can pick either one. This year, they acutally have 4
sessions running! it'll be a hard choice sometime, e.g. between Karina and

i heard Karina is teaching in NYC as well. if you're dying for her privates
, maybe can give it shot. BTW, for some reason, those coaches actually
charge much more (at least $30) at the dance camp than they usually do.

thanks for answering the questions.
I printed out the schedule, and highlighted "blindly" all Karyna's classes
for day 1 and day 2, and then picked classes (judging from the topics) for
other sessions when Karyna does not teach. The other classes I picked are
divided among bill sparks, dan calloway, jean-marc and lydia petrigova. I
have totally no idea who the other instructors are. So Jean-Marc is a famous
teacher? i apologize for my stupid question if the answer is obvious. :D

hm...you makes me want to go as well :D the hoetel rate is qutie decent and
there's no limit of number of people in a room. so if you can find someone
to share, it's gonna be quite a good deal. Jean-Marc was there last year.
I enjoyd his session a lot. So was Lydia and Dan Calloway. Don't know
much about Bill Sparks tho. pondering ya pondering...this's sooooo tempting
!!!!

there's no limit of number of people in a room. so if you can find someone
to share, it's gonna be quite a good deal. Jean-Marc was there last year.
