Chacha Routine.
Just learned an intermidiate Chacha routine from our coach, Russ and Katusha
Wilder. Pretty fancy. Yeh... I like the drop figure in the end especially.

looks pretty clean, but a bit boring, especially the first half, the same
thing was repeated again and again and again....

ft! for the first couple of seconds i thought it was your partner dancing and
wow her latin was so much better than her standard:p

it's for demo of choreography purpose only. it'd look different if they were
dancing it for a show or comp

shouldn't be too bad if it's done effectively. maybe that's latiner and his
partner's strength area and that's why it's a big part of the routine. it's
only 30 seconds long so i'm sure there'll be additions.

i watched this video clip, and i have to say something. i am not going b
ash on the choreography like everyone else did because i believe dance i
s not about what you do, but about how you do it. i agree with the opini
on that it is not the best choreography, but it is still usable (wait ti
ll my later comments). now what i don't understand is that why they are
off timing after the new yorks. it is because of the wrong choreography
or because they executed it wrong? either way,

经过我周六的联系，我发现，做一个静态的平衡，对我来说其实是个难事，比如你说的
单脚 :((
这大约是我为什么在standard中总是有重心不稳的问题，:( 因为在和很slow很control的
move中我很难做到良好的平衡，反倒是在latin这么的动态中我感觉平衡是很easy的

恩，对于chacha也要stand tall我的体会是，如果stand tall一些，等于把上半身的重心
在高一些的位置上滞空，这样下降时间会加长，从而减轻下半身挪重心的难度，从而
提高动作的轻盈感

Oh, great. I feel vindicated as I was horrified by the thought I was counting
the beat wrong when I first watched the clip.

The web connection at this site was dreadfully sporadic and I couldn’t gain
access for the longest time until now. Maybe I am trying to get on at the
wrong time of the day as everyone is plowing the site at noon break.
What I am trying to add is that Latiner's coaches Russ and Katusha certainly
and almost by definition know how to dance a proper chacha, or for that matter
, any of the dances better than any of us here on the board by gazillion
orders of magnitude. I think this video recording is

here is no way someone can count and have the exact same tempo as a late
r-inserted song.
and it wasn't the choreography. the choreography was correct. the guy ju
st got behind a little behind on each of those syncopated new yorks and
after 4 of them at the end, he was 1 count behind."

Thanks guys for so many replies! :)
I am not affended at all, just got swamped these days for my PhD proposal wo
rk.
The offtime problem is actually my fault. The music track was added later af
ter the video was taken because the orignal sound was too noisy. But I don't
have the music played that day, so I have to try a few songs and choose the
closest one with their dances.
As for the routine itself, it is boring definately, since it is for the grou
p class of our club, where 90% people is firs

好奇地问问，tan了之后肤色是不是就一直那么黑了？会不会退色？

哈哈，我这次看我们教练比赛算是见识了什么是tan得感觉了。
Tan完得当天很sexy，但是第二天就很恐怖了。女士得脖子以上由于要打粉底，所
以tan得颜色第二天就干干净净了。但是其他得部位比如说手臂，胸口什么的还是
一样的深色，很搞笑。我们的男老师很白，虽然他没有和女士一样的问题，不过手
臂上的颜色有些有点象－猩猩，呵呵，黑一块，白一块的。呵呵。

不能tan完了再打粉底吗？这样tan的颜色就直接tan在皮肤上乐～～～～～～～～
为啥会黑一块白一块的啊？因为有的地方掉颜色了，有的没有？

呵呵，mm们比赛的时候化得可都是很重得妆啊。所以你看比赛其实大家都看着差不
多得样子。嘿嘿。要是先tan在上妆就白折腾了。
那个颜色洗一次澡不会掉干净，得几天以后才能退干净。
还有，很多couple比赛得时候都染发的。而且黑色是主色调。当然也有standard舞
者留着金发比赛的。这次我们去比赛，我们的老师和我的舞伴都染黑发，呵呵，还
是我们方便啊，不用麻烦。

我倒觉得先tan再化妆更能用适合tan过以后的肤色的化妆品，xixi
不过好多粉底颜色都很深的，说不定不tan也能把脸搞黑
身上就麻烦了
我以前一直以为tan过以后就白不回来了哪，细细
恩，这点agree。
不过看大家比赛的时候都盘着头发，很专业的样子
唉，女生就是麻烦，还要去学盘头。。。

the tanning process can take weeks depending on the method. i don't think you
tan after applying your make up on the morning of the comp:)
days and weeks of application for several minutes on the floor then the
terrible peeling process...it's too much hassel. i'm glad it's not 'mandatory'
practice for standard dancers.

there're products to make things easy like hairdini etc. you can find them in
claire or walgreen

why not? i've seen that at competitions.
my lg does my hair. he's getting better but of course we don't any any fancy
stuff. i think i may get a book for him. he also applies eyeliner for me
because his hands are much more stable from all the practice in the lab:)

i know who you're talking about. he's pretty good. of course if grow up
competing then you grow up learning all the grooming. there're many dancers, i
mean guys as well, that make costumes. it's like they've developed second
hobbies or source of income within the dance industry
