一个比较亲华的老美，说的也是实话吧。CNN总想羞辱我们。
无论如何，李春燕博士是我们的楷模。华人维权任重道远！
I think she makes good points. I also think it is good that she is making it
to a national TV program as it increases the visibility.
I agree that the host was rude to interrupt her... however this is pretty
common during interviews (especially during short segments like this ~5
minute segment). I think a more serious news show would have interviewed her
for longer but this show only wanted to spend a little time on the issue. I
would not say that this cnn show is a serious news show... unfortunately
most of the 'news shows' on channels like CNN are more about popular /
entertainment / special interest news than serious journalistic shows. This
looks like more of a 'talk show' than a 'news show'.

评论里的那个Zephon简直是自干五，他自豪的说自己生在，长在美国，
是德国后裔，祖上好几辈都是美国农场主，然后参加美国海军。
在USNA应该是美国海军学校，当学生的时候就开始接受关于中国的培训。
现在是个退役美国海军军官。
由于美国太多错误和不客观的中国消息，花了好几十年学习了解中国，虽然没去过中国。
他提到了关于没有中国人参加的世界人权组织写的中国人权报告，对中国的少数民族政
策大加赞赏。提到国民党失败后，美国才鼓动达赖独立。西藏是美国对中国的沉重包袱。
直接说一个用中国将军照片做头像自称从中国来的民运id Maj Gen Luo Yuan 是叛徒，
很有可能是被日本收买来在网上专门写中国负评的，看着真欢乐！
最喜欢的CIA在中国间谍是Julia Child,这个是谁？

我是新警察，不是学统计的，也不是做cs的，用过些machine learning 的东西，想系
统看懂一两书。请问：看这本书需要些什么统计知识？看完浙大的数理统计可以开始看
这本书吗？还需要看别的书吗？或请推荐些其它的预修的书，以看懂黄宝书。

去年旁听的一门课用PRML做教材，这学期有门课用ESL做教材，感觉都是反复读教材的
同时，补数学基础知识（线性代数，概率统计）......

这个open course 就是用的这本书，statistical learning。讲的比较容易懂。不要
求太深的统计知识，你看看应该会有个大概的感脚~
